Mariah Carey is one of the greatest singers in the whole world. Her stunning 5 octave voice, her talent for composing and writing lyrics have helped her gain favor from millions of fans. However, her influence not only lies in how her legendary music career inspires countless music lovers, but also lies in the spiritual power her songs and herself have brought to the people. For one thing, her world-famous works like Through The Rain, Hero, Can't Take That Away, Make It Happen saved many lives for they have given people the faith to survive and keep going. For another, when Mariah encountered a huge problem---She was dismissed by Virgin(a company)and thus broke down,she didn't give up the hope. She started it over again and released her new album in 2002.Just as the song Through The Rain goes, she stood up again and Mariah was back!
Whenever I felt frustrated and that I almost could not go on,I would think of Mariah. It is Mariah that reminds me of the spirit and power--never give up!

in my memory the greatest person in the world is angelina jolie. i am always amazed by her beautiful smile, her silky hair and her seductive body shape. she had won innumerable awards, including amy award, golden ball award, etc.. but the most impressive thing she have done was definitely the way she dealt with her breast cancer. though knew that breasts are the symbol of women, she still decided to remove both her breasts to prevent cancer. this is marvelous because this movement encourage thousands of women who have breast cancer but do not hav旦发测菏爻孤诧酞超喀e the nerve to remove them. anyway angelina jolie is a great person in the world.
when i was in high school, there was a teacher who taught me more than that in class.he was a very kind boy, 4 or 5 years older than us and taught us geography. we all liked to take his class, though geography was not our major course.what impressed me a lot was his grace.you could see him always smiling.he got angry only when we were too noisy in class.after class,he often played soccer with us.he used to be a very believable defender and never fouled on any of us.we all liked to call him "teacher miao" and he was just like a friend, not a teacher.his sonsy personality inspired me to be kind to everyone i met.that was my well-beloved "teacher miao" .
